Getting around Mont Tremblant
by NODOMU
We are thinking of flying into Mont Tremblant for a short stay. Are there shuttles to take you from the airport to the hotels? Also, what parts of the resort are closest to grocery stores and the lifts? We want to rent a condo and will not have a car, so we will need some way of getting supplies. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hmm... other than actress Natasha Richardson, I can't remember hearing about a fatal ski accident at Mont-Tremblant. I could be wrong of course, but I doubt there's been "lots of people killed" there.
But to get back to the original question, here's a link that will give you all the information about shuttles, whether you fly directly to Mont-Tremblant or to Montreal: http://www.tremblant.ca/gettinghere/ground/bus/index-e.htm (most condos offer free shuttle service).
If you look at the resort map (http://ww1.tremblant.ca/resort_map/resort_map.html), you'll see that most condos are located in the "Domaine de la forêt" area, right by the slopes. To get supplies might be a bit more tricky since the nearest store is located in the village of Mont-Tremblant, about 6 km away from the resort area. Perhaps you could take a taxi to the "Marché du Village" when you arrive and stock up for the duration of your stay? Hope this helps!
Travel Tips for Mont-Tremblant
Mt Tremblant
by RACCOON1
Mt. Tremblant is a destination resort with both summer and winter activities to choose from .
In the winter it is a place to ski . Americans and Europeans think that Quebec winters are extremely cold . January and February are cold months and you have to dress properly to avoid frost bite .
By the last week of February things start to warm up .
In March you have to avoid the week of the Ontario Schools March break . On this week hoards of Ontarioans go skiing in Quebec and Mt. Tremblant is a favourite . If the weather and conditions on that week are exceptional crowds become a major issue as residents of Montreal and Ottawa will take a day off work to go skiing .
Mt. Tremblant is located 90 miles ( 150 km) north of Montreal ( a 90 minute drive ) .
Le Géant golf course
by amsterdam_vallon
Le Géant is so intense, the experience will live on long after the 18th hole. Par 72 course offers exceptional game conditions. Imagine…6,836 yards of pure pleasure! Every green, every white sand trap and every lake was meticulously positioned to offer you a challenge sculpted right into the mountainside. Laid out in multi-level plateaus, Le GÈant offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, streams and boreal forest.
Place St-Bernard
by amsterdam_vallon
Isn't it time you fell under the spell of uniquely European charm? La Place St-Bernard offers European charm in spades, for the whole family. Centrally located in Tremblant's renowned alpine village, these adjacent ski-in/ski-out complexes - La Place St-Bernard, Le Johannsen and Le Deslauriers - put you at the heart of the boutiques, restaurants and excitement.
Mont Tremblant Resort
by mim95
If you have been to Whistler, you'll notice that it it very similar to Mont Tremblant. There are many shops and restaurants in the pedestrian only resort area. And there are many summer and winter activities within the resort. But it is rather expensive to stay in this area.
The capital of Laurantides
by eternel2002
Mon-tremblant is the the capital of Laurantians region (Laurantides) north of Montreal, it's a touristic region including the village, the mountain and its big national park. A nice place where you can do every season different things, skiing in winter (I think is the biggest ski station in Quebec), hiking or camping and enjoying the beautiful nature in other seasons.
