When we arrived at the Courtyard after driving all day I wasn't really expecting much. Most Courtyards are pretty basic. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised. Located in a busy part of the downtown near McGill University, they have valet parking. The concierge (yes, they have one!) was great. He was super helpful and friendly and really seemed to enjoy his job. He made staying there very pleasant.
Our 17th floor room had a beautiful view of Mont Royal and really plushy, comfortable beds.
It's about 15-minute walk from this hotel to the Old City and China Town and about a 10-minute walk from there to the shopping district on St. Catherine Street. There is a metro station about five minutes away.
Unique Quality: This hotel has an indoor rooftop pool as well a gym, both of which are very nice. They also have a full-service restaurant which offers both breakfast and dinner and a nice bar that serves food as well. Free coffee, tea and cookies were available in the lobby every afternoon and we got a free English newspaper every morning.
Free wireless internet is available in all of the guest rooms and public areas, too, which is really great because some places charge you up to $15 per day.
The cost of staying here was also very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. I'm really glad that we chose to stay here and would come back again.

It is owned by the Mariott...so it's pretty nice! They have a gym upstairs with pool and hot tub....the rooms are nice....we left quite a mess actually, but we left a tip for the cleaning ladies and tried to clean up as much as possible. =P
