The great thing about this hotel is the location. It's right on Sherbrooke street near McGill (great location for parents visiting their kids at McGill University) and Aylmer. The Metro is close by (1 block south - Metro McGill), and there's tones of stuff to do around the area.
The hotel rooms can vary from large to small, but even the small rooms are comfortable. One thing that did annoy me was that one room had a shower, while the oher had a jacuzzi.
The elevators in this hotel are small, and as a result, you will sometimes have to wait a while for a ride up or down.
Parking is underground and there is a valet to take your car in and out. The valet who grabbed our car was rude to us but I guess everybody has a bad day now and then.
Unique Quality: Located in downtown, near Biddles (excellent jazz bar), Metro McGill, McGill University, and tones of excellent restaurants.
Had a great stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice restaurant and bar (welcome drink was included with room key at check-in). There was sometimes a wait for the elevators as they are only 3 and are small but not too long a wait. Wheel-chair accessible roooms are spacious (even though I am not disabled) and beds extremely comfortable. Price was very good.
Recommended.
Unique Quality: Great location in the city, just a short wal from the McGill metro station and within walking distance from almost everything. The lobby gives access to the next door cafe where you can get coffee and meals to very late.
Sheraton operates two hotels in downtown Montreal. This operation belongs to their less expensive "4 Points" line.
It's a nice hotel, centrally located, near McGill University, Mount Royal, and the northern downtown area.
Directions: On Sherbrooke, about 3 blocks east of McGill University
