Not convenient to Old Montreal, you must drive or take public transportation (taxi or bus). In a less desirable area, a male transvestite prostitute was on the corner across the street from the hotel and tried to get into my car as I was parking!!! My kids (6 & 9) wanted to know why the man looked like a girl - just great... Most parking is on the street, with perhaps only 5 spots available in their "lot". Since B&B is on a busy street the road noise can be bothersome. The furniture in the rooms looks as if it were purchased at a college dorm rummage sale. The mattresses are worn out - very uncomfortable. My childrens room had an open electrical box over the headboard with exposed wires! No ability to adjust heat / AC by room - we froze to death. Grate was missing from the wall so the A/C came out of a hole in the wall. Rooms are pretty clean but in dire need of an update. Curtains did not completely close because the pull was broken. Smoke alarm in room goes off when you take a shower due to steam from the shower. Breakfast (continental) consisted of cold cereal, bagels, toast, coffee, juice and fruit salad from a can. Breakfast area is in basement and resembles more of a cafeteria than a typical B&B relaxing experience. If you enjoy staying in youth hostels then this place would be paradise for you. My advice is to stay far away from this pretty gross B&B.
Unique Quality: Free cookies in lobby - big deal!
