Get to know Montreal and its environs. The city is on the St Lawrence Seaway on one of the swiftest parts filled with rapids(les chutes!) and there is a cool lock where I usually park on the south bank of the river to bike accross the bridge into Montreal near the old quarter.Biking through the city. Montreal is one of the most bike-able cities in North America. When I was in Grad-school I used to drive up and spend a few days just biking and soaking up the European/French-Canadian culture. Montreal, with McGill University right downtown is a great place to just wander around...the exchange rate also is quite favorable these days so its a real bargain as well.
