Good hotel

Alright I work here, so we could consider this as publicity, but I do not care much about the health of the owner's wallet. (btw, Les Suites Labelle and Hotel Roberval are affiliated). The hotel is located on the corner of Rene-Levesque and Berri, right across a wing from the UQAM. It is also a street away from the Berri metro station, which have access to three subway lines. It's a clean three stars hotel with (usually) a small kitchen and bathroom, kinda like a studio. The staff is nice. Obviously, I work here for god's sake !

It is located near the Quartier Latin, the Village, the Old Port and the biggest metro station in the city. Ton of action in the area, this is a very active part of Montreal. Les Suites Labelle is located on a Labelle street between Ste-Catherine and Rene-Lesvesque.

The hotel attracts tourist groups from France, Mexico, Germany, USA... It has a good reputation and unlike some other hotels in the area, it does not rent rooms to prostitutes.

Which hotels is better?

by slyio76

Hi,

We have shortlisted a few hotels and do not know which one is better. We are looking for somewhere convenient and safe, a basic room that is under $100. Any advise? Thanks.

Hotel du Manoir Saint Denis
Hotel Manoir des Alpes
Alternative Backpackers of Old Montréal

If you want a place near the old city section then you could check out the Hôtel Les Suites Labelle (link below), which is about a 10-15 min. walk away. The website shows they have a single room for $99 (I assume this is Canadian $) until April 30.

My family and I stayed there last spring and the room, location and service were all good.
