Loews Hotel Vogue: A NICE ROOM-BUT WHERE'S THE SCENE?

The descriptions of this hotel in the guide books make you feel that this is the hip and trendy spot to stay at in Montreal. While the room was large and lovely, there was absolutely no bar scene nor was there an outdoor terrace to sit at. if you can get a deal, this is a great place to rest your head. If you must pay top dollar, I do not know what the fuss is all about.
This is a very nice hotel, you are treated very well, I like to leave a tip for housekeeping, after all they are people to and when you do this they are more acommedating to you.
The bathroom is big and the canopy beds with big fluffy down comforters are a nice touch.
Service is exceptional, the largest bathroms you will ever see, seriously I spent more time in there than in the bedroom, flat screen TV's in the Jacuzzi - yum!, nice lounge near all
Bathrooms, nothing better, they must be 150 sqf each
Our stay at the Loews Vogue was in December of 2004. We picked a very snowy weekend to stay in the city and were greeted at the curb by a doorman all bundled up in a red and green wool coat and hat. He looked right out of an oldtime holiday picture. Our room was beautiful. When we arrived soft music was playing on a bedside CD player and the bed was already turned down.
The bathroom was extraordinary!! Marble everywhere and a super deep jacuzzi tub. There was a telephone in the bathroom as well as a small color television. Needless to say we spent some of the chilly nights lounging in the hot tub watching tv.
The rooms were big and we had a great view of the city. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. One of my favorite Montreal hotels.
