Hey guys I'm planning a trip to Montreal on New Years. I have been to Montreal for March Break last year, I'm just wondering what everyone's opinion is for a choice of new years bar to go to on new years? I know I will need to pre order ticket soon because it will be quite expensive. Appreciate all answers!
Montreal is a party town - you'll surely find something. However keep in mind the average temperature is around -10 C with wind chill in December.
Bars and restraunts come and go like crazy here.

I am arriving at Montreal (YUL) airport and then intend to buy a ticket to Calgary from WestJet after arriving.
can someone please if there are any Westjet Ticket Sales Office at the Airport.
Also if i carry a ticket before hand, do I need to exit the International Terminal after customs and Immigration, or I can transfer to the Domestic Terminal and then do my Immigration at Calgary.
Montreal is a beautiful city with many interesting neighbourhoods. My favourite area was Mount Royal. I loved the metal staircases on the outside of the homes and apartments. The picture is not very good, it was raining the day I visited the area.
What is great about this mountain of ours, in the middle of our island-city, is that we can find all sorts of little paths, that can give us the impression that we are outside of the said city, however wonderfully we might think of it...
The Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier is the main music hall/concert stage of the Place des Arts. Capable of accommodating either symphonic music or operas, the hall was dedicated in 1963.
Wilfried Pelletier (1896-1982) was a much-loved conductor the Montreal Symphony, one of the main occupants of the hall - along with the Opera de Montreal.
Even if you don't understand a word of French, it is a good idea to learn a few key phrases before you go to Montreal. Almost everyone there speaks English, but as a matter of good manners it is a good idea to greet people in French and then ask politely if they speak English. A simple, "Bonjour, Madame, parlez-vous Anglais?" will do.
