More about Auberge Le Vincent
48 hours of personal service
We have read great comments about this inn. That's why we have reserved a room in Le Vincent. It was all correct information.
First of all Québec city is a very beautiful North American city with a big European/French flavour. Auberge Le Vincent is top. A very good accommodation. We felt very welcome. The parking is ideal. Close to everything you must feel and taste. The room was fantastic. We loved the personal attention when we asked for it. The owner and his staff are very kind. The breakfast is delicious and served at the table. We certainly would return in this Auberge.
Absolutely the BEST!!
My husband and I stayed at the Auberge le Vincent for 7 days for our 20th anniversary. The moment we walked through the door we impressed with the warm welcome. This place has everything one can wish for. Beautiful ROOM with wonderful quality bedding, luxurious shower, robes, contemporary furnishings yet with great character. The SERVICE was exceptional, friendly and helpful. By the time we left, we felt like old friends. The BREAKFAST that was included was beyond what one would expect. What a daily treat. The LOCATION of this Auberge is perfect. A short walk to everything and very easy access to the highway. I will not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone I know, and I hope to be lucky enough to go again myself. Quebec city is wonderful.

Amazing experience! Will be back for sure!
My wife and I stayed at Auberge Le Vincent for one night in June and had one of our best hotel experiences. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. Booking a reservation was painless and efficient. I called and then booked over the internet. The website is a good way to get information and find pictures of the rooms. (We had #8 and I highly recommend it...the shower is super cool!) http://www.aubergelevincent.com/
When we arrived our check-in was quick and easy. The staff took care of luggage and set us up with parking. They also suggested a restaurant for dinner and made the resertvations for us (we went to "L'Utopie"...amazing dining experience and a free aperitif if you book through the Auberge. Only a 5 min. walk from the Auberge).
The next morning the owner, Claude, made a delicious breakfast for us and we chatted about the history of the building and the neighbourhood. (The Auberge is situated in a great location giving you access to Old Quebec's upper and lower town as well as the port and market. The neighbourhood is a trendy area with new bistros and restaurants popping up everywhere).
All in all, this was a fantastic, relaxing experience that had us already thinking about our next trip to Quebec and next stay at Le Vincent!
Reviews were right!
I reserved the room based on pictures and reviews on tripadvisor. We arrived before check-in time but they were happy to let us know that the room was ready. they supplied another robe without having to request it. When asked about a restaurant, they called and reserved for us and we had a great meal.
To sum it all up, we had a great week-end at a very friendly inn.
Beautiful Aurberge Vincent
Enough cannot be written about the quality of experience to be had at Auberge Vincent. The owner, Claud, has designed the hotel for beauty and for comfort and for excellence. Our first step into the hotel gave us a preview of the care that has been taken at all levels and that would soon be extended to us: the lovely, honest greeting, the demand the we not touch bags - they would be brought to our room, everywhere the wonderful lighting and the luxury touches we would soon find within the room, and the next morning - the first of many beautiful breakfasts that became the anticipated starting point of each day's adventure. We extended our stay from two days to six in order to enjoy gorgeous Quebec City all the more and take drives out into small-road Quebec from a home-base. And Aurberge Vincent is such a "home". No hotel experience I have ever had has brought all the qualities of excellence and beauty and hospitality together in such a sincere and competent way. Congratulations and thanks to Claud and all the staff for making our vacation so very, very memorable.
Wonderful time at the auberge
I'm not sure what to add given that all the complimentary reviews on this site are accurate. Staying at this Inn was one of the best parts of our 4 day stay in Quebec City. The service was excellent, the accommodation first rate, wonderful breakfasts and the location convenient - a short stroll to local shops and a 20 minute walk to the Plains of Abraham. If you are sensitive to traffic noise, you may wish to request a room facing the back.
Unusual hotel - Highly recommended
I too decided to stay here with my wife for 3 nights following previous reviews. We were not disappointed and our expectaions were met.
The hotel being a converted warehouse and ustilising the bare brick as a feature for certain walls in the bedrooms make this property most unusual and full of character.
We stayed in bedroom 5, which was a large room with a very confortable kingsize bed and lovely soft bedding. There was a large LCD TV/DVD player on a swivelling bracket, a fridge and remote aircon which was so quiet it could be left on at night. There were no adjoining rooms so we could enjoy a DVD later without worrying about annoying others. Glasses were provided for our wine that we bought and we were offered a corkscrew, though we had one anyway. The shower was large and the water pressure good. Don't be put off when seeing that you can see into the bathroom from the bed, there is a blind that can be closed for privacy. Everything about the room and bathroom, and in fact the whole hotel, shone quality.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, speaking english very well. The breakfasts were also great quality, always with delicious fruit with choices such as pancakes, croissants filled with ham and cheese, and sausage, bacon, eggs and mini potatoes.
The car park is just across the road at the back of the hotel and is very secure. They give you a remote control to operate the doors. It is a little pricey at $15CAD plus 15% tax per night but very convenient.
If I had any complaint it would be that the hotel is in St Roch district, which is about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the old town and mainly uphill. That said you can walk 5 minutes to Rue St Joseph (a flat walk) where there are quite a few restaurants. You can also get a bus in that area though we didn't bother. The first night we did eat on Rue St Joseph but as we had a car we opted to drive the short distance up to Rue St Jean the other nights where we could walk into the old town within 5 minutes on a pretty flat walk. Of course you will pay more for a hotel of this quality in the old town so the location was a compromise that I would take again.
We had a four night stay at the Vincent. The staff were lovely and helpful and the owner, Claude, is happy to help and to talk. The auberge is not located within the old town area, which is the main area where tourists are likely to want to go. However, it was roughly a 10 minute walk to the old town area, up a steep slope (but then, QC is hilly). The room that we were booked into was noisy (traffic), which could be a problem for light sleepers. The shower was wonderful! Breakfast is served downstairs, with a choice of menu.
Ah...a lovely Vincent Van Gogh inspired place. I was travelling solo so fhe room was good value and a good size for 1 person (room 3).
Claude and the team are unbelievably helpful (and that is by the already generally high B&B standards). The room was chic modern, well located and everything worked perfectly. The shower is particularly excellent. It is a short walk to the city centre but compared with other places and cities I have stayed this is a short walk for a B&B. Would definately stay here again.
Like the previous review this room in on the main street. It was no problem though with light earplugs (do not travel anywhere without them!)
PS If you are unable to get a booking here by all means check out Ciccio italian restaurant for a quiet and non tourist experience on Rue de Clare Fontaine (inbetween Rue St Gabriel and Burton)
Hospitality, service, and great location
Claude and Regent were fantastic to deal with. Just the fact that we refer to them by name says something! The rooms were well kept and we loved the bathroom and the glass shower!
The location is just a short walk to Old Quebec, the port and the train station.
The breakfast is fantastic and right beside the auberge is a great place for lunch. It's at the other end of the small block and it serves fantastic, piled high, smoked meat sandwiches. My wife and I would just split one sandwich and we would be stuffed.
If you are looking for an active tour I'd suggest renting bikes at the port and riding out to Chutes Montmorency. They are beautiful waterfalls!
