This hotel is a bit out of the city, but with a car we were fine. As a matter of fact, we found some very good restaurants in a neighborhood between this hotel and the old city. There is a good casual dining restaurant right behind the hotel, and a grocery store too. The bathroom was really tiny, but the rest of the room was fine. Hotel desk staff were very nice and helpful. This hotel is right around the "corner" from a big main drag with lots of other hotels. We didn't find that street until our last day in town. Lots of restaurants and shopping on that road. We took St Louis Street all the way in to downtown when we went, a very easy drive. The hotel has a nice little pool area and a fairly fancy restaurant. Didn't eat there, but the girl at the desk said it was good, and there seem to always be enough people there. Be sure that if you don't speak French, you take a few phrases along with you just to be safe. We did find that we had a little trouble communicating if there was not an English speaker close by. The Old City is fantastic, better than I had expected!
