Ho everyone,
We are just returning from Quebec City and what a pleasure to stay at the Chateau des tourelles. The rooms a great, clea and good looking. The little garden on the roof is also welcome for any sunny day like this mother's day week end!
The owners are very nice people and gave us few good advices...look for the parking they offers cause finding a place is quit hard..and for 6$ it's a good deal...it is10 minutes from all the good places in Quebec City so go for it...and last thing..the breakfast is great...
enjoy...

We stayed at this B&B last weekend. We had a fabulous time and the breakfast was truly a great way to start the day. The place is beautiful and well decorated and extremely comfortable. It also has the advantage of being well-located but not in the middle of the touristy spots (and therefore peaceful)- we enjoyed that ! The owners are very helpful.

Feel Special at the Chateau des Tourelles
by TripAdvisor Member CambridgeLovebirds
We were greated with the warmest smile and a proprieter who delighted in going above and beyond for our occasion.
The beds were so comfortable it made it hard to get up in the morning!
The breakfast was sublime, offering new choices every day. The attention to detail was incredible. The rooms were homey, with each being named after generations of female relatives. The Irma room had a private terrace with one of the best views of the city anywhere.
Thank you Allen for making us feel so welcome and pampered. We will be back someday. You have us forever!

Charming, Romantic!
by TripAdvisor Member goingconcern
I highly recommend staying at the Chateau des Tourelles. My husband & I spent three nights there last February (celebrating Valentine's Day and my birthday) and we had a charming, romantic stay.
Our room was tastefully decorated, the bed was comfortably firm, and the huge bathroom included a shower and a jacuzzi. We also had private access to a large balcony, to better enjoy our panoramic view of the city and distant mountains.
The breakfasts were delicious, well prepared and presented (my husband said the Eggs Benedict were the best he'd ever had), and served in a sun-speckled, cheerful dining room.
The hosts were warm, friendly, fluently bilingual and always ensured we were well-oriented in our convenient location. With stores, restaurants and tourist sites (especially the historic walled city) only a short walk away, they also arranged inexpensive parking.
We intend to go back again this summer, and are really looking forward to it.
Great place

Very nice B&B, reasonably priced as well. The breakfasts were excellent and the people were very friendly and helpful. The location is very nice too; close enough to the old town yet far enough away from the tourist crowds. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Our only problem was that is was quite hot when we were there and when the windows were wide open the street noise in the early morning was pretty loud for sleeping; it wasn't bad, just an annoyance.

This was frankly a delightful place. I had a wonderful airy and spacious room, tastefully decorated and clean. The bathroom had a shower (I wouldn't have used a bath anyway) and there were plenty of towels. There's no air con - but even in June I didn't find that a problem. My room was facing a fairly busy and noisy main road. But the consolation is it was only 5-10 mins walk from the city walls. The staff are extremely helpful and the rooftop terrace has magnificent views - perfect for an evening cocktail. Fortunately, there's a store next door selling alcohol and snacks. The breakfast includes something cooked - like an omelette - and cereal, coffee etc. Altogether I would absolutely recommend this - especially to couples - it's a very pretty place.
A pleasant place to stay!

One reason we chose this B&B was because they did not require a two night stay. That made our last-minute trip to Quebec so much easier to plan. When we arrived, I was so pleasantly surprised by so many things. Alain, the proprietor, was a great host, answering all our questions and very welcoming. They did an outstanding job on renovating the building and the atmosphere they have created inside is sylish without being over the top, relaxed and laid-back.
The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it in the morning. The breakfast they served was DELICIEUSE! The old city is about a 1/2 hour walk (*if* that) and the surrounding area is full of bakeries and great little shops. Make sure to check out the view from the terrace on the rooftop!! Only downer was the noise of the street, however the air conditioner in our room drowned out most of it and we still slept really well. I'd recommend this place, and will stay here again.

We had an incredible visit to the heart of Quebec City and stayed in this charming place right on Rue St Jean, within walking distance of the wall and the old city, Chateau Frontenac, restaurants, shopping, git shops, Plains of Abraham, ferry boats, and much more. Having lived in Quebec City about 12 years ago, I couldn't have asked for a better location.
Our room was pefect. We had selected a two room suite with a bedroom with attached bathroom with a large shower and a washbasin true to French tradition. In the next room was a salon seating area where we entertained a couple of friends when it rained. It was nice to be able to sit on the couch, rather than on the bed, with our guests! We also had a small balcony, and the roof top terrace for all guests provides a spectacular view of much of the city, and the surrounding countryside!
The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, bar none. There is quite a selection of rooms and suites to choose from, some of which need to be enquired about in person. There is certainly something to suit every need and desire.
The breakfasts also left nothing to be desired. With a selection to chose from every morning, there was always too much to finish at a seating as the portions were very generous, and delicious. For our last morning, they even asked us if there was anything special we would like.
Which brings us to the service... perfection! A relaxed and comfortable environment, friendly and accessible. While their presence was not always immediate, they could be reached at any time.
The kitchen for coffee and such was always accessible, and any questions you might have about the city, the sights, attractions and other things to do they can assist you with.
My husband has travelled around the world and has really stayed in the best and the worst of places. We both agree that this is the very best mix of classy and comfortable, quaint and casual with fantastic service, food and a wonderful nights sleep, right in the heart of Quebec City.
Great Place To Stay

My family and I just returned from this wonderful B+B. We stayed in the Irma room upstairs that has two adjoining bedrooms with one full bath. I would highly recommend this establishment for several reasons. It was easy to make reservations online via a responsive host and owner, Allen. The entire house is extraordinarily immaculate. I would be very hard pressed to find any item askew. The breakfasts were wonderful that feature daily multiple choice egg creations that were accompanied by a small fruit serving to complement the meal. My daughter said that the hot chocolate was outstanding. The convenience of an approximate 15 minute walk to the heart of the old city was super as was the free parking for the length of our 4 day stay. I also think that the price($159/nite for the four of us) was an extraordinary bargain. Lastly, Allen is very personable, helpful, and proud of his outstanding property. My wife and I cannot wait to return to have an evening glass of wine on the private balcony with a vista of the city.
Old Quebec at its finest

We were first time visitors to Quebec City and when we arrived at the Chateau des Tourelles we immediatelhy knew we were in for a great and relaxing time. Allen was gracious and eager to help in anyway, the made you feel at home, opening the kitchen to anything you needed. Allen also suggested things to do and offered maps, passes, and brochures on everything going on. We booked "The Suite", it is not advertised but if you want a two person jacuzzi, your own floor, and your own private deck, then this is for you, RELAXING!!!!! The B&B is on the most popular street in Quebec City and you can spend a day just walking that street, cafes, shops, and pubs everywhere. The walls are only a 10 minute walk away and you felt like a local staying at the Chateau. Breakfasts were good and filling, usually with 3 or 4 options and were served from 8:00 to 10:00. definitely would stay here again, PERFECT!!!!!

St. Jean Baptiste 2006 Plains of Abraham
by esemple
There was a young French male singer on the Plains of Abraham on St. Jean Baptiste 2006 who has produced (or is producing) a CD with a young male English singer who was also in Quebec during St. Jean Baptiste.
Do you know the names of the singers and/or the CD?
