Gite Chez Gertrude - Charlevoix

Gite Chez Gertrude - In St Urbain, in the Charlevoix region east of Quebec City. This is a lovely, immaculate B&B. Gertrude does not speak much English, but with my rudimentary French we got along fine until her daughter arrived.
I don't believe we paid more than $60US for the night, plus a FULL breakfast the next morning. The only other guests were a young couple (who didn't make it down to breakfast as early as we) and a single woman who was going cross-country skiing in the area.

Unique Quality: We stayed in a large family room, with a double bed and two (or three?) singles. There were a number of guestrooms, opening out on to an upstairs parlor and hallway with three baths to be shared among all the rooms. Everything was spic-and-span. While the Gite is located along a 'main' road, it was extremely quiet. We had dropped our son off at Mount St Anne's for another day of snowboarding, as it was on the way to where we were staying. The drive was magnificent and it was easy to find your way around.
