GUESTS BEWARE - UNFAIR BILLING PRACTICES!!

I BOOKED A 3 NIGHT STAY THERE IN THE PEAK SEASON OF JULY AND I WAS OK WITH THEIR 25% DEPOSIT POLICY. WHEN I CALLED THEM SEVERAL DAYS IN ADVANCE OF MY VISIT THERE TO CHANGE MY BOOKING FROM 3 NIGHTS TO 1 NIGHT,THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD NOT APPLY MY SECURITY DEPOSIT TOWARDS MY 1 NIGHT STAY BECAUSE THEY CONSIDERED MY CHANGE OF TRAVEL PLANS AS A "CANCELLATION". THIS HOTEL IS NOT INTERESTED IN BEING CUSTOMER FRIENDLY OR EVEN ETHICAL BY ANYONE'S STANDARDS. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE AVOID BOOKING AT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE YOU WILL LIKELY GET RIPPED OFF - THEY DIDN'T CARE THAT I WAS TRAVELING 1,200 KM TO VISIT THE TADOUSSAC AREA.

Best time to watch whales

I was wondering if anyone had any idea which months provide the best whale watching in the Tadoussac area. I want to kayak in the fiord for a few days but it is a long drive to be there at the wrong time. Thanks for your help

You can sync your schedule to any date during summer up to October. There are plenty of whales to watch. The reason they are at this location has to do with the Saguenay river which bring them food. So no worry about seeing whales.

To have the best experience, you MUST take the trip on a Zodiac inflatable raft (about 12 person on board). See, the boats cannot approach the whales, all they can do is be in there paths. So the Captains place there big boats where they think the whales are going. Moving from one point to another when the Captain sees the whales going that way is best achieve with these small boats. You will see them from very VERY close. Bring you camera.

They supply you with the waterproof clothes. Enjoy :)

The charming village of Tadoussac is located about 3 hours east of Quebec City. Its history goes back to the beginnings of New France (it is the oldest village in Canada), but it is its natural beauty that has made it famous to this day. With a population of only 860 people, one would think that Tadoussac would be a small and quiet village, but tourists come from all over the world to admire the landscape and seascape of Tadoussac, and they are welcomed with open arms! So if you are planning a trip to Quebec, think about adding Tadoussac to your itinerary!
