We spent 3 nights here at a basic campsite. It was just behind the sites with the panoramic view of the village. Personally, I think it is not necessary to be at those sites because there are some benches and a children's playground in front of those sites. And you can simply walk over there to enjoy the same view without paying a premium.
There are private taps at each site, so you don't have to walk to a public tap to get water. The washroom is very clean. There is a charge of $1 to use the shower for 7 minutes. It seems short, but trust me, it is possible to do it in under 7 minutes! There are also firewood for sale on site for $5.
They also offer discounted whalewatching trips on zodiacs. And there is a couple of restaurants and a convenient store nearby. The town itself is a little far away, and you have to drive to get there, unless you are fine walking on steep hills.
Prices depend on what extra amenities you will need: electricity and view.
Our stay here was quite satisfactory. I only vaguely remember the place, because I was 12 when I went, but it was a huge building, with great facilities (large kitchen, clean bathrooms, satisfactory dorm rooms), a fun atmosphere and most importantly- a great location! It's right off the main road across the ferry in Tadoussac.
The hostel was basically a huge, renovated barn. At least that's what it looked like. I'd say that because of the kitchen, it facilitated a lot more interaction between guests, which meant a more pleasant stay, because everyone there is adventurous, fun-seeking in nature, hence their interest in Tadoussac.
