PROMOTION SCAM?
Promotion scam? Or creative interpretation of our mother tongue?
The Best Western brand is advertising “Stay Twice, Get a FREE Night!” So we booked in Lloydminster for two nights – we stayed twice, once on Wednesday and again on Thursday. Come time to check out, assuming we qualified for a free night at another Best Western, we are told, “No, no, no. ‘Stay twice’ means ‘Stay on two separate occasions!” We have to wonder, if we had booked for one night, and then checked out, and then booked for a second night at the same location, would the response have been, “No, no, no. ‘Two consecutive occasions means you stay once!” We are definitely P.O.’d.
Unique Quality: Rooms have beds. (I have to say something nice.)
