'Home' for two weeks

Apparently, my earlier interviews in Regina went well because, within a few days of arriving back in Fredericton, NB I was asked to report for duty as soon as possible. It took me about two weeks to get our house ready for winter and say my goodbyes, then Sue and I loaded up the old car and were off on our 4.5 day drive (4300-km) through the USA! In the meantime, I had made arrangements for a furnished apartment but it was two weeks before it would be ready for occupancy (end of the month change-over). Once again, the company paid the room tab for two weeks while we called the Best Western Seven Oaks our 'home' in Regina.

Unique Quality: This was more like what I am used to, just a regular room with two Queen-sized beds and a sink/mirror, a small bathroom and a TV. The beds were comfortable enough but the high-speed wired internet system was a bit erratic, suddenly conking out in mid-sentence! The Seven Oaks is quite a popular spot on the weekends because of its huge indoor swimming pool. It was full of young families then and the thumping of footsteps up and down the hallways could be heard but it always seemed to die down by the time we actually wanted to sleep! Attached directly off the lobby is an excellent restaurant that we were very pleased with every time we used it - Ricky's All Day Grill (see my separate 'Restaurant' tip). We had no major complaints at all about this Inn and it was reasonably priced at C$89/night.
