    The castle-like Delta Bessborough Hotel is the most striking building in Saskatoon. It is modeled on the famed Canadian Railway hotels such as Chateau Frontenac in Quebec and the Banff Springs Hotel. But the prices in Saskatoon for a topnotch room and romantic ambience is perhaps a little more affordable (still it's going to run close to $200 Canadaian).

    It was a real treat to stay at the Delta Bessborough after a twelve hour driving day. The bed was so comfortable that I'd call it luxurious and we were treated to appetizers and free drinks in the VIP lounge.

    If you stay at the Delta Bessborough make sure that you take some time to explore the hallways on the main floor towards the rear of the building. The walls are lined with old photographs showing the construction of the hotel and the many grand parties that the hotel has hosted over the years.

    It is so fun to stay at one of Canada's historic railway hotels--everyone should indulge in this type of pampering at least once.

    One of the nicest and most historical lodgings is the Bessborough Hotel. This hotel was one of the 'Dirty 30's Work Projects' to combat the recession in the 1930's. It's presence on the South Saskatchewan is in the heart of downtown Saskatoon.
    I don't know for sure, but the prices are most likely $90-$110/night.

    Recently rennovated, it still maintains the historical atmosphere of richness from the 30's.

    One of the original 1930s make work project hotels. Situated on an ideal part of the South Saskatchewan River, this hotel offers easy access to the beautiful Meewasin Trail.

    Id say The Bessborough Hotel..
    Parktown, thats situated close to the river as well..
    The Quality Hotel - Downtown close to most everything
    OR The Travel Lodge
    $69.99 - $200.00+

    All have Pools, hot-tubs, ect... Calling them to find out more be most recommended..

  • Directions: The Besborough Hotel looks like a model of a castle.. Over looking the River.. The Quality Hotel - Not fancy but good enough. Um the others im not quite sure of I haven't stayed in ALL of them lol.

    • This 1935 chateau, ideally situated in downtown Saskatoon, occupies 5 acres of private waterfront gardens on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River and it holds a Jazz festival every summer.

    • This is one of those reviews that all I can tell you is that it was clean and comfortable. I was only in at night, and out the following morning, and found out that I should've stayed in another area, because of where I was working. It's not the hotel's fault - it was the travel agent's for not researching what was closer for me.
    Delta's are good, and I'm sure that this was no exception to the rule.

    It was in a nice area of the city, and had I been there for vacation, I would've enjoyed it more.
