One of the few B&Bs located in this part of Saskatchewan, I stumbled across Schwab's B&B (also known as Schwab Simmentals) during my brief detour northward on Highway 34 as I sought out a few more views of Big Muddy Valley. It turned out to be located directly across the highway from where I stopped to have a look at the 'Point of Interest' cairn describing the history of the Willow Bunch-Big Muddy Trail. If you don't want to try camping in some of the nearby Provincial Parks, this might be a good place from which to explore the area.
The B&B makes its main living as a cattle ranch, with it's Simmental cattle being (according to Wikipedia) "a versatile breed of cattle originating in the valleys of the Simme river, in the Bernese Oberland of western Switzerland. Among the oldest and most widely distributed of all breeds of cattle in the world, and recorded since the Middle Ages, the Simmental breed has contributed to the creation of several other famous European breeds and have historically been used for dairy, beef and as draught animals". When sold as beef, their meat is of such high quality that they are classified as 'Angus' beef.
The B&B part of the ranch consists of a fully furnished detached house with two bedrooms (each with 2 double beds) and with breakfast supplies provided by the owners for the guests to cook in their kitchen. The other option is a double bedroom with private bath in the main residence. The B&B is open for business between the beginning of May to mid-November and rates are in the C$30-40 range.
