Comfortable Room at a Great Rate

The Dawson City Bunkhouse is an excellent choice for the budget minded traveler. It looks and feels like the old west, but is actually a fairly new facility. The design harks back to the time when a private room did not necessarily mean a private bath. The hotel has 5 suites and 27 single and double rooms. For every half dozen of the budget rooms there is a shared bath and a shared shower room, and each of these is divided into three seperate private sections. My single room was clean, comfortable, and basically furnished with a small desk, chair, and bed. Best of all, the cost was only $49 CDN, which comes to about $40 US. Suites and rooms with private baths cost more.

The Bunkhouse is open from mid-May through mid-September.

Unique Quality: The hotel is very conveniently located and within easy walking distance of several restaurants, shops, and most of the visitor attractions in Dawson City.
