A relatively new and clean hotel just two minutes walk from the airport. The blue roof of the hotel can be seen immediatly outside of the airport doors across the airport car park, so it is a very easy walk, however there is a small grass area which borders the Alaska Highway which is the exciting part, as there is no crosswalk from one side of the Highway to the other. For those with heavy bags and who don't wish to live dangerously, there is a hotel bus which calls at a number of Whitehorse hotels including the Skky.
It is about a 5km walk into the start of Whitehorse City but no doubt the hotel bus can drop you off nearer the city if a car is not available.
There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel, generally with interesting items such Bison on the menu. It is slightly upmarket hence the prices, but not too excessive and generally well worth the cost.( approx $50 - $60 for two, with a glass of wine)
Unique Quality: Proximity to the airport and a very modern building possibly makes it #1 in Whitehorse. Room rate in August 2010 C$150
First class "Volare" restaurant in-house with very good food and service. Details of the menu is available on hotel website as set out below
Right across the street from the hotel, on the side of the airport and under the DC3 wind vane on Alaska Higway, can be found the Yukon Transportation museum which if you have time to spare, is a very interesting place with a huge area dedicated to the pioneers and also to the era of the building of the Alaska Highway

Directions: Directly across the airport car park on rhe oposite side of the Alaska Highway
