Hotel Hans Egede: Nuuks 4 star hotel
Nuuks 4 star hotel is located smack downtown in Nuuk city. And offers you most things you expect from a nice hotel. It has a ¨sky bar¨ and it has one of the best restaurants in Greenland Sarfalik plus a Hereford Beefstouw that is also used for the very fine morning buffet that are incl. in the room price. Beds are fine and with warm duvets. The location don’t give you any special views from the ¨sky bar¨ you can just see the fjord over the rooftops of the town.
Right next door to the hotel is a very fine Thai restaurant –Charoen Porn, that I can recommend. My favourite dish is the baked redfish.
The price of the room a standard single room is 1490 DDK (around 260 $) for the room that is nothing special is as most things very expensive. For 260$ we can get 5 star luxury hotels over the most of the world. Somehow have the relationship to Denmark run-up the prices as officials and other coming to work and stat for meetings and so on needs a place to stay and the governments will pay this. So as a tourist you get hit by this price bumping.
Internet is extra, so is coffee/the outside special hours.

Hotel Hans Egede: City Centre Home
I was guided to this, by the suggestion that if I booked a Polar Class room I would get a wonderful view of the fjord. Unfortunately, this was not quite the case as there is currently a great deal of construction activity between the hotel and the shoreline of the fjord.
The hotel has quite a lot to offer; the rooms are comfortable and depending on the class of room you may be given free internet access from the business centre in the reception.
I have to admit to a slight mishap as I was checking out - I bought a hotel rucksack and as I was in the reception area, I had inadvertently placed the plastic bag it came in over one of the tea lights on the tables in the reception area. Luckily it was spotted and the alarm did not go off! They had in fact held a fire drill the day before, but the receptionist did say "not on her watch!"
Unique Quality: The hotel is part of a larger group, and has a number of associated facilities both in the hotel and nearby. The hotel has two restaurants (the Sarfalik and a Hereford Beefstouw) and the Skyline Bar - breakfast is served in the Beefstouw.
They also offer free coffee in the reception area and have a cloak room when using the other hotel facilities. There is also a smoking room nerar to the reception area.

Hotel Hans Egede: Nuuk´s best hotel
In Nuuk I prefer hotel Hans Egede. It´s an okay hotel with good facilities. On the top you´ll find "A Hereford Beefstow" which is an excellent beefrestaurant.
