Yes, you can stay overnight!

Yes!!! there is a hotel in Kulusuk and we did pass by it and it is a nice building, looking much like the other houses in the area. It is no classy architecture or anything, just a building close to the airport saying Hotel Kulusk. It does have electricity and running water and also a gift or souvenir shop where you can buy your tupilaks.

Usually, people come here just for a day, like me (we arrived about 10 AM and then left late afternoon). But, copnsider this, if the weather is bad and your plane cannot take off, be assured that there is ahotel you can stay at. Just make sure you have the Krona that they accept (Danish, DKK?) and that you know the pin number of your credit card!

The hotel sign also says Artic Wonderland Tours, and so the owners might be the same (?)

Tupilaq

by Kalexus about Local sellers; Trading Post

There are no real shops in Kulusuk except the trading post. Tupilaqs are generally bought either at the trading post or from local sellers, who spot you as a tourist (and therefore potential tupilaq buyer) and will show you the tupilaqs they have made. Hotel Kulusuk might also sell tupilaqs and other locally made things. Tupilaqs are weird-looking monsters from the Inuit folklore, that are usually made of reindeer horn and are a typical souvenir and collectible. 200-400 Danish kroner, depends on the size
