Holiday inns are my favority chain because I know what kind of service I am to expect.
Sometimes in this HI I have receive excellent service others not. I guess depends which Manager is in turn so as to expect how efficient the personnel is.
The rooms are clean and comfortable although the space for each room is minimal. at them most they can fit 2 full size beds in each room.
the business center is reduced to 3 computers on one corner near the main entrance of the lobby. and the service at the lobby is at times inefficient and slow.
I would reccomend it because of its location, so central to everything. there is always some show or something going on on the plaza de armas.
you can find a discounted rate in a website or at the tourist hotel info desk as you arrive in the airport from international flights ( you might get a room for $70-$80 usd) if it does not include the breakfast buffet note that the buffet is about $10 usd per person
the buffet is plentiful and excellent it has variety of regional plates, breakfast items , fruits, juices etc
Unique Quality: the View from the Top Roof Terraze is the best from any Hotel I have seen in Mexico City.
The expectacle of the streets , the Main Cathedral and the Plaza the armas with the huge Mexican Flag is worth the stay.
It has a couple of suites with a huge jacuzzi.
Directions: Ask the taxi to take you to the Plaza de Armas Near the Cathedral
or take the subway to the cathedral stop.
It is located on the corner of avenue 5 de Mayo and the Plaza
