Holiday Inn Zocalo
A nice hotel, rather luxurious and a good value. I paid about $60/night + tax. Location is great: you are right next to the cathedral, subway, close to Alameda. The area is safe at night, or at least appeared to be. Plus there are plenty of nice restaurants nearby.
Internet is not available in the room. There are two computers downstairs to access internet; first 30 min per day are free.
Restaurant is rather overpriced, but you get the views of Zocalo from its patio.
Rooms are modern, clean, well-lighted. Bathrooms are clean and roomy.
Water is not filtrated, but the hotel provides two bottles of water per day.
A safe is provided in the room. The rooms have a desk, TV with cable, alarm clocks.
