Youth Hostel

by written on November 25, 2003

Actually, a friend of us stayed at this hostel. He paid around 150$/mouth and it was more or less satisfied. In the immediacy, the metro station “Salto del Aqua” was his link to the university, but the contamination and the noise really upset him. By the way, for a student it is convenient, but at the same price (if is lucky) you can find a room in the proximity of the Ciudad Universitaria (UNAM).

Unique Quality: They have, furnished rooms (which sometimes you will not find when rent a room in the town, at private persons), general kitchen, security (this is very important) computers with Internet, public phones, restaurant, etc.

Directions: corner with Eje Central Lazaro Cardenas, Centro Historico

Great new hostel/ hotel

by written on August 30, 2002

Centrally located at just 15 mins walk to the Zocalo or take the metro which is just outside the door.
The hostel uses hotel rooms with dormitory bunks - very clean and new.

Unique Quality: Free night accomodation if you use the Maxbus shuttle to travel from Oaxaca to Mexico City - cost 285 pesos.
Kitchen, or use the economical restaurant.
Common room with Cable tv and internet,
Pool tables etc coming, according to the owner.

Directions: Zona Rosa
