    PURE Minimalism

I stay there 3 days, the hotel is very diferent, minimalistic, simply, with lounge music in the rooms, in the exterior wall is only glass, the location is everything directly in Mazarik the premier zone of Mexico City, next to BOSS, Tiffany, Zegna, Gucci and all the premier brands.
The hotel have a small gym, swiming pool, jacuzzi, Bussines Center and now have a Library wich is great b'cause most of those book are not available in Mexico.

I recommend this hotel for single and couples. NOt a family hotel.

Unique Quality: Is all about the service, the rooms are very clean, the front desk help when you need, the music in the rooms are relaxing you can control de volume in the bed and bathroom, free newspaper, very good food,
But most of all ... is the service give by all the employees

    Trendy Boutique Hotel

Very trendy, modern boutique hotel in the heart of Polanco, near all the shops & restaurants. Would defintely recommend this hotel to someone who likes boutique hotels. Somewhat reminded me of the Standard in LA, but a little less quirky.

Unique Quality: Has a bar on the 6th floor, Aura, that is very trendy.

    Directions: In Polanco

The room are great, the restaurant trendy, the bar -TOP- and the pool is a "must enjoy" activity

Unique Quality: The full package hotel

If interested in a minimalist interior design and architecture and a very unique hotel experience in the centre of Mexico City, this is a place to stay.

Once an apartment building, this site was adaptively reused as a small boutique hotel, now offering 36 rooms and a variety of ammenities (outside pool, outside lounge, a small gym, a restaurant/cafe).

The design concept for this hotel, as explained to me by the hotel general manager, is designing a minimalist contemporary space within a historical site that will offer a home like environment in a busy fast paced to unwind and relax.

Romantic dinner/date in Mexico City

by sorcieus

I am planning to spend the holiday in Mexico and would like to surprise my BF by taking him to a romantic dinner/date while we're in Mexico City. It does not have to be expensive.
We both have never been to Mexico before. Thank you!

The Hacienda de Los Morales is very nice, its in an old hacienda, with wonderful old-school service.

you could also consider enting a boat in xochimilco and dine ion the boat.
this is not fancy dining, but having a boat totally to yourself on the canals does kinda have a venice feel to it and it's not that costly.
neither is the food there.
vt member mailianrob has a nice page from there with good photos:

Well not so romantic place... but you should go to Condesa DF nice food, or have breakfast at HOtel Habita en Masaryk Ave.
The red Lounge at W HOtel is great for see nice people and the food in his restaurant is great.
Still dont know if the restaurant in the TOP of the World Trade Center is open it has a great view of the city.
- El Lago in Chapultepec is a restaurant with a view of the Lake

Thank you for all the responds. How do I get to xochimilco without joining the tour? Can I take a cab to and from? I will be staying in the reforma area.
THanks again!
