Tlalnepantla, Mexico City
I will be going to Tlalnepantla, Mexico City for a few days this weekend for business. I have never been to Mexico before, so I was hoping someone can give me some information about the place. Are there places I could walk to like shopping, restaurants, bars? Is this generally a safe place for me to walk around. Also, I will staying at the Best Western Hotel Maria Barbara. Any info. about this hotel would also be appreciated.

It will depend on where you'll be working at. Maria Barbara is not in the heart of Tlalnepantla but in the border, but in the nice border, right beside an amazing shopping center called Mundo E and about 15 minute walk from Plaza Satelite a huge one.
Not really nice for walking unless you walk within one of those shopping centers. Infront of the hotel you'll find a flea market usually called tianguis which might be interesting for you.
