Hotel Roosevelt: A Hidden Jewel

  • First of all, this is the only place I stay at while in Mexico City. Safe, friendly service, and located in one of the hippest and more beautiful areas of Mexico City known as La Condesa. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean, the rooms are spacious and all rooms have cable t.v., phone and a safe. There is a great little restaurant downstairs with an extensive menu that also delivers to your room in a fast and courteous matter. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. Located about 20 feet from one of Mexico City's main avenues, Insurgentes, it is located near two subway stations, beautiful parks, art deco architecture which predominates La Condesa, and an array of nightclubs, restaurants and shopping facilities.

    It is quiet and inviting, 24 hour desk clerk available and very affordable, about $60 a day with a jacuzzi. Other rooms without a jacuzzi run from $35 to $50. Check out their website.
