la romita

by osoeno

Por favor, Exactly where is the chapel and plaza "la romita" relative to the Chapultepec metro station? Gracias.

Re: la romita

HI
I know a place called la romita but it is not near the Chapultepec station. it is very close to the CUAUHTEMOC metro station, some three or four stations towards PANTITLAN.

I leave you this link with the map. Im almost sure that it is the plaza and chapel that you look for.
greetings and good luck.

Gracias otra vez, amigo. Saludos

Travel Tips for Mexico City

Hip neighboorhouds in Mexico City

by jonazito

Zona Rosa and adjacent Roma are the most "hip" and authentic places, since they have recovered from the 1985 earthquake, and now showing beautiful art deco 1930 building next to modern stylish apartments. A lot of parks adds to the atmosphere. Accomodation tips: CondesaDF, old building revamped with modern design, and elhostaldevictor.com, if you prefer a luxurious personalized B&B.

Walk and get in contact with...

Walk and get in contact with the people. I have lived here almost all my life, I grew up here and the city taught me how to move around, find it useful to grow in a city so big as almost no city in the world seems dangerous or complicated.

The Land Without Time

by jenn_d

I've always prided myself on being punctual..but punctual in Mexico City means 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes after the set time. This was an easy custom to get used to.

I found it particularily amusing that the bride pulled me aside the night before her wedding mass to tell me that even though mass was suppossed to start at 12:30 I could give myself until 1:15 to be at the church.

Bra

by Aptypo

Sometimes bras made the headlines. When Madonna's famous pointy bra - designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for her Blonde Ambition tour - fetched more than four times its expected value and went under the hammer for a massive £14,100 at a Christie's auction in London. When a survey by Marks and Spencer was published confirming that more than 90% of British women are currently wearing a wrong-sized bra. The study found that more than half of the 2,000 women measured are a bigger cup size than they thought making the national average 36C... Let's draw a conclusion: Bra can for women be a good place to hide money!

Suprema Corte de Justicia

by darthmilmo

If you're lucky as I was, you can talk yourself into getting a visitor access at the Suprema Corte de Justicia (Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico). It's an interesting sight with interesting murals inside.
