    Fantastic!!

I stayed here for a week, while on business, and the hotel was amazing. It was my first time in a "W", so was a little unsure what to expect. The room was great, modern and extremely well appointed. ipod dock, etc. the bathroom was very cool, the shower was its own room, and the view was great.

The location is great too, its in Polanco, with restaurants very close by, as well as a great bar in the hotel. (very trendy though)

I loved the W Mexico City! We only spent one night, because we couldn't get a room in our first choice hotel (FS). But it was a great stay. We had spent the previous night in Morelia, in a colonial hotel with high ceilings and traditional furnishings. Then to go to the ultramodern W Mexico City was like a 300 year fast forward! We were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite, and we had an incredible view from the 14th floor. The round bathtub was right in front of the full length glass windows, and it made for an incredible city view / bathing experience. I'd use caution after dark, though! I had a massage at the spa, which was well appointed, but the massage left much to be desired. But the service at the hotel was great, and the accomodations are perfect if you're looking to impress, or just want to feel like you're coming back to the 21st century.

As for location, this is in Polanco, which in my opinion is the perfect area to be. There are great restaurants and shops close by, and it's relatively safe. Always use precautions you would use in any major city, and don't take the green or libre taxis.
