Camp Gecko: Stay here
This was the mexico I remember from my childhood. We arrived after a 12 hour drive from Los Angeles. As we were pulling in we ran into the Doc, he said "just find someplace with nobody there and make your camp." Everything was completely quite. Everyone was as nice as can be. We could not have stayed in a better spot.
Our cabin was right on the beach for $15.00 US a night. It had running salt water and a functional toilet.
Unique Quality: Quiet, away from town, right on the water. There is a boat ramp and a palapa for fish cleaning. Kayak and boat rentals are also avail.

Daggett's Campground: Camp at the beach!
It is a paradise view of this camping.
And amazing sunrise!! Don't miss that!
You are camping at the beach and get your own palapa and a barbacue grill.
I would recoment camping under the palapa since it is so hot during summertime and don't forget the sunscreen!
The cost is US$8 per site per night.

MOTEL LAS HAMACAS: MOTEL LAS HAMACAS
Motel Las Hamacas was one of the newest in town. It is comparatively small, with a small number of new rooms. It is located on the right side of the road as one enters the town.
Unique Quality: From the motel the sunrise is amazing.
After 9 or 10 PM I don't exactly remember the electricity is cut down, so from 9PM until 8AM more or less only the light from candels can be seen in this motel.
There are other motels with 24HRS electricity... more expensive and less romantic...he,he
