Baja's Best Cafe....A very clean and comfortable small restaurant located in a bright yellow building in the center of town. It features a nice selection of American style breakfasts as well as traditional Mexican foods. It is the only place I know of in Baja California featuring "Starbucks" coffee. The owners and staff are very friendly and English is spoken for your convenience. It is also a valuable source of toursit information and road conditions. As El Rosario is more of a place you pass through, instead of a tourist destination, Baja's Best Cafe is definately a, WORTH THE WAIT, eating spot. My best memories of El Rosario are the friendliness of the people and willingness of them to help a stranded traveller without taking advantage of them.

"A needed spot"

El Rosario is the final point in Baja California Norte that has a good variety of services available to the motoring tourist. There are a couple of modest motels, grocery stores and the last gasoline station going south until you get to Guerrero Negro in Baja Ca. Sur. There are as well, a number of small restaurants and food stands of which I have found Baja's Best Cafe to be the most tourist friendly. It is located in the center of town in a bright yellow building. The area also has the ruins of two old missions and roads leading into the surrounding desert areas. The lacking point is that there seems to be very little available in the way of guide services to the local cave paintings and other out-of-the-way attractions. Located on the Pacific side of the penninsula it has a very moderate climate for those who can't bear the summer heat of southern Baja. The local industries are mainly fishing and agriculture.
