Days Inn Villa Fontana: Easy to book, great location

Clean, with at least 2 guarded parking lots. Right downtown near everything. I've stayed there twice. They gave us a 10% AAA discount at check-out. The first time (for my birthday) we stayed in one of the "Junior Suites" which had a jacuzzi in the room, and lots of space. They recently raised the price of this room, though. The next time we stayed in a King room, which was also a good accomodation. The hotel is a little older and starting to show some age. I mean, you get what you pay for... In this case, it's a good bargain.
There's a nice pool with a jacuzzi and waterfall going into it.
Due to the location of the Villafontana, it can be a very noisey motel to stay in and it is very average. Fortunately, I had found this out prior to my stay. I was able to request a room that was upstairs and more toward the back the of motel, and thank goodness, they were able to honor that request. The rooms are very basic and were badly in need of new bedspreads, blankets, and towels. Parking is definitely an issue here.
Parking was indeed offered at this motel which is always a plus when visiting Ensenada. Unfortunately, directly on the property itself, there is very little room and you need to be pretty clever to manipulate your car: first one in is the last one out if you get my meaning. The hotel does offer an additional parking lot but it is across the street and around the corner. It is a locked facility which is nice but at night and since I was a single woman and traveling along, I was recommend asking for an escort from the hotel.
