¡Extraordinario!

This is not just a hotel! It’s a family! The staff all genuinely care for each other. To the owner and his wife, the ladies at the front desk, America and Alejandra, Willie who takes care of the grounds, the night desk clerk - who made me a fresh pot of coffee every morning at 6 A.M. and las camaristas – who did a beautiful job on my room everyday – you have my deepest thanks. I had a wonderful 10 days.

The hotel owner and his wife treat the staff with love and respect and it is mirrored in kind. Everybody is genuinely happy to be here – so much so – many hang out on their one day off a week to be with their friends! It felt like an extended family and they encouraged me to join it. Wonderful people. Wonderful experience.

I felt safe – I never worried for a second – well maybe the first day – about leaving out my laptop – or wallet. Heck by the time I had been here a week, my door was open all day. There is wonderful cross ventilation with the cool night air coming off the ocean.

There is a coffee shop attached to the hotel that serves basic fare from 7AM to about 8PM.

There is an excellent masseuse on call and the pool area attracts private parties – including a kindergarten while I was here – but it is always over by 10 PM and I slept well.

A couple of blocks toward the Zona Turista is a terrific seafood restaurant, Mariscos and a block further, a top notch steak house, Broncos. In the other direction, one block to the east is a very popular tacoria. A few more blocks to the supermercado, farmacia and HSBC bank.

The hotel is perfectly situated. It doesn’t have the cruisers with their boom box cars like La Zona Turista yet it is walking distance to the Bodegas de Santo Tomas and the Zona Turista – Hussongs as well as the Zona Central. There is a casino a few blocks away. Note bene: Yahoo has this hotel out near la playa Estero in Chapultapec – not so - it is on the same street – Calle Primera aka Adolfo López Mateos – as Hussongs and just five or so blocks to the Mexican Flag at the harbor.

Hola America. Hola Alejandra. Muchos, Muchas Gracias.

There is an OXXO a few blocks away – but my personal OXXO goes to Hotel Flamingos.

Unique Quality: Location, location, location

Staff.

Kindness and warmth.
