Hacienda de la Langosta Roja: Hotel and Restaurant
I have stayed here once and it was ok. This is concidered a more upscale place and it does get full pretty quick because there arent alot of accomodations here. I really didnt find the rooms upscale, they were average but yes the restaurant was more upscale than others in San Felipe. The food was good and not to pricey. And if you are into wine, this is your place. They have a good selection of Mexican wines.
The air conditioning works excellent and if this place does have a flaw it is that it could be closer to the beach and there is no pool. But i guess it doesnt bother too many people because they are always fully booked.

San Felipe Inn: Good Budget Inn
We discovered this place by accident. It was Fourth of July weekend and we wanted to go to San Felipe. We had no reservations and everything was booked. By chance i found this place and spoke to Sal (the owner) and he gave us a room for about $80 a night. Thats almost unheard off in San Felipe on a big holiday weekend. Sal was there that weekend too. He lives in California but since he owns the SanFelipe Inn he is San Felipe alot with his family.
The hotel is nothing fancy but you really have that family atmosphere here. There is a free breakfast in the morning, alittle more than continental breakfast but dont expect bacon and ham and omelets. In the evening they put the music on and dance around the pool. They also sell drinks right there.
There is a pool and the rooms have decent air conditioning and are clean.
If you are on a budget and want to come to San Felipe this is the place for you.
On the down side I really wished the air conditioning worked alittle stronger.
Unique Quality: Usually you will see Sall the owner right there and he will greet you. He makes it a pont to talk to all his guest. Great customer service.
In the evenings when they put the music on you will see him dancing by the pool. He likes to party and he has a great personality.
This place is great for good clean fun for families or couples.

Hotel El CORTEZ: Nice place to stay
The Hotel El Cortez, at the southern end of the main tourist drag, Avenida Mar de Cortez.
What i like about the Hotel Cirtez is that you can choose what kind of room you want, for example the cheaper rooms come with one king six bed or two double beds. They range in price but on average expect to pay $100.00US there are a few roims with walk out balconies and lounge chairs, they run on average about $130.00 US. There are also some mini suites with kitchens. Toward the South end the hotel grounds you will see little bungalows. They are the same price as the one bed or two bed rooms (100.00) The only things with these rooms is that it seems like you get alittle more privacy, Also these rooms have their own palapas on the beach and their own parking.
The Hotel has a good sized pool and jacuzzi as well as a bar and its own restaurant. The prices at the restaurant are about average for San Felipe.
The rooms are clean with maid service every day.
Did I mention that you are right on the beach too? Thats the best part. There is also a boat launch here for the sea doos or jet skis or boat.
Unique Quality: We ate several meals in Hotel El Cortez's restaurant. Where the food was pretty good, especially the fat, juicy jumbo shrimp ? and the service relaxed, in true San Felipe style.
