Los Patios Hotel: A 10 minutes' drive from the beaches    Check Rates

    • Los Patios describes itself as a 5 star hotel- it is not. It is not bad, though. You can see Land's End from the top of the restaurant, the food is good, and it's affordable. However, the bed is as hard as a rock, the courtyard can be a bit noisy, and the shower is prone to a bit of spillage. Luckily, you won't spend much time here and as long as you don't sleep on your side, the bed' hardness feels kind of nice.

    Each room has a hammock on the veranda. Ours had a big hole in it, though, and it never got fixed.

    We chose Los Patios because Hotels.com said it was "pet friendly." Upon arriving we were informed that they didn't allow pets. When told that the advertisement on hotels.com featured them as a pet friendly hotel, the manager said no problem we will accommodate the advertisement. I saw other dogs with their owners so like anything else here, it's the day of the week and the person you talk to...

    The hotel was very clean. The flowering trees in the open courtyard continually dropped petals and the restaurant staff dutifully picked up the petals almost as they fell. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One major benefit for us was they provided free wireless Internet access. There was a pass code needed to sign on, but the front desk provided that when you checked in.

    The restaurant had open patio seating as well as a comfortable enclosed area. The bartender made excellent drinks and was quite attentive. Multiple salsas were provided with a never ending plate of chips. There was something for everyone's tastes.
