Playa Grade Resort is a great place to stay

We stayed a week at the Playa Grande, and loved it there. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds, beach, pools and rooms are all kept immaculant. Town is only a few minutes away, an easy walk.
Make sure you eat at The Office on Medano Beach, a truly fun place with tables right on the sand. Try Nick San's, for Japanese food. The crab and lobster rolls are wonderful. Rent a car, and drive north to the charming town of Todos Santos. It is a unique blend of old and modern Mexico. The food at Fonda El Zaguan is amazing. It's the freshest seafood you will ever eat. We loved Playa Grande and can't wait to go back. Cabo is a great place to vacation.
We snuck in to the pool area from another hotel and loved it

We were staying at the Hotel Finisterra next door to the Playa Grande and on our last day decided to take a walk on the beach and go over to the Playa Grande. I wish we had walked over sooner because we would have changed hotels in a heartbeat.
The main thing we saw was the pool area with 5 large beautifully designed pools. We ended up spending the afternoon there and loved it.
All the pools are heated to the perfect temperature. When we go back next year, we will definitely stay there.
Great Place to stay

Just got back form a week in Cabo. Our family stayed at the Playa Grande and had a great time. Our room was a huge 2 bedroom and was terrific. Ongoing construction is a pain but you seem to overlook it. If you are into ocean swimming this is not your place as you can not swim here. The pools are very nice but getting a chair is an ongong probem as some people are just rude and try to reserve all day. Overall the resort is great and will be even better when it is completed.
We Bought A Time Share

We visited Cabo with friends over the Thanksgiving week and had no intention of buying a Time Share, however, we did attend a Playa Grande time share speal which took us all of one day.
What a beautiful place. We happily bought a Penthouse in the new building that isn't even completed yet...way at the top. The view is spectacular. We are counting the days until we return with our children and grand children. We look forward to spending Thanksgiving week there for many years to come.

Just visited cabo the week of Dec. 7th. The resort was very nice. We had a one bedroom suite which was quite spacious and had an attractive decor. The suite is like a mini apartment with maid service included.
The location was perfect. beautiful views, away from it all, but just a short walk away to town. the beach is not swimmable, but they have very nice pools with a swim up bar. Overall, I loved my stay at the playa grande and would highly recommend it. They are finishing up with the last building and spa, but my stay at the resort was not affected what so ever. The timeshare market is quite competative in cabo, but at the playa, they are not pushy at all and they make it worth your time.
Lastly, dine at BRASIL!! It is all you can eat- steak (every cut imaginable), pork, chicken and lamb. Exellent food at a good price (24/pp) with a novel idea (food is delivered via skewer). HAVE FUN!!

"Purple Haze"
Actually, we were listening to U2s "One" when I snapped this shot. We were driving along the highway and couldn't resist to pull over to capture this moment. If you're able to play that song while looking at this photo- please do.
"Good morning!"
Stepping onto the balcony to see this first thing in the morning is energizing!
"Sprawling Cabo"
View of Medano beach from atop of Pedregal. Pacific Ocean on Right of pointy hill and Sea of Cortez on Left.
"Sunset ftrom our balcony"
Isn't it just lovely?
"View of Playa Grande Resort from Pedregal"
Water on the right is the Pacific. Water in the top left corner is the Sea of Cortez. Ocean access is RESTRICTED on the Pacific side because the water is TERRIBLY rough and very dangerous. When standing on the sand you feel like you are standing riverside because the Pacific current moves EXTREMELY fast towards the Sea of Cortez. The sounds of the waves crashing is DEAFENING and quite scary as well. The shoreline is also VERY steep with a 300 foot drop off as soon as one enters the water.
"Santa Maria Bay"
Great place to go swimming and relax for the day. About a 20 minute drive east of downtown Cabo. Snorkeling is OK, best time to snorkel is before noon and after 2 (tour boats come in during that time and there can be A LOT of people in the water). Be careful not to get too close to the rocks when swimming as surf is rough and prickly sea urchins line the rocks.
"Santa Maria Bay Rocks"
Doesn't that cave like formation look like jaws that are about to open and devour you?! Scary!

Any of the Pueblo Bonito hotel locations will have luxurious massages. I believe some of them have oceanside massages too. http://www.pueblobonito.com/
