Upscale La Paz

I stopped by this resort as it's harbor is home to "The Mourings" yacht rentals. While investigating the rental market we decided to have lunch.

The reception area is quite a ways from the entrance road which is currently (2011) under major construction. The second floor reception looks out to a large and well decorated pool area which appeared to be designed for kid enjoyment as well as adults based on the number of kids at one end.

While we didn't stay there, we did dine in one of their resaturants Steinbeck's. A large portrait of the author hung prominently in the dining room. The outside patio area overlooked the inner harbor which was home so some very nice yachts.

Unique Quality: About 10 KM south of La Paz central, this area is home to emerald water and a near by water park. The "out of the way" location probably provides a much quieter atmosphere than the hotels on the Malacon in down town La Paz.
