Ignacio Springs: Ignacio Springs
This is an original oasis in the desert. Located on a river of fresh water supplied by a an underwater spring! Cool Swims-yeah.
Individual tents (yurtz) are located amongst the forest of date palm trees planted in the 1800's. The caregivers spoil their guests by offering a huge breakfast apon arising along with all activities planned for you. There are canoes ready for your quick trip down the river to buy beer (Yeah, that was cool) or fishing poles for the children to catch the Talapias swimming in the river. The fish are hand fed nightly by the owner so they bite anything! This was a good catch and release lesson for my son. We met wonderful people traveling through. Most with children who joined up quickly with my son for adventures.
Unique Quality: The river. It is fed by warm springs, so the further you swam out ....the warmer it got. The relaxed feeling, neat people, accommodations.............
Oh, the palm trees .......the kids could climb and jump off into the water. Ok, Yes, I did it once......
