If you enjoy deep sea fishing then you'll want to go to Los Barriles, BCS Mex. Year round fishing for marlin, rooster fish, dorando and many more. Head for Palmas de Cortez Hotel and they will take out on half or full day boats. Spectacular scenary !

Best Gift Shop in Town

There are many great little shops all over town, but the hotel's gift shop has a different selection of Mexican artifacts of higher quality than the others, and, at GREAT prices!

They also have items such as suntan lotion and things one might need when staying at the hotel. Mexican hand-made pottery and ceramic items. $5.00 US, on up.

This DAY SPA is located at the main hotel in town, PALMAS de CORTEZ, and they offer Facials, Body Scrubs w/massage, Waxings and various aromatherapies in addition to a selection of massages:

Swedish, Sports, Aromatherapy and Therapeutic.

The Body Scrubs include selection of Ginger, Peppermint Lavender or Cranberry Brown Sugar!

All these are priced below what you would pay in the USA.

Beautiful with a night visitor

The grounds & pools were beautiful. The view and the color of the water was breathtaking. The beds although were very hard and difficult to sleep on. We had an ENORMOUS cockroach crawling on the side of the bed, therefore we requested another room. The front desk would not give us a discount for the inconvenience of having to move in the middle of the night. We were up and outta there by 6:30 am due to the uncomfortable beds and the thought of more cockroaches crawling around. Yuck !!

Unique Quality: View Fabulous..... Pools Fabulous...... Sunrise Fabulous....... Killing that Damn Cockroach Fabulous !!!

TUCKED-AWAY IDYLL

If you like the area of BAJA SUR, but not the concrete and craziness of Cabo, this is the Place! This is the 'anchor' of the town and has been here, owned and run by local family, for many decades. It has recently been refurbished, with new rooms, palapa bar and infinity pool.
Situated right on the Sea, and a beautiful, white-sand beach, with boats available to be rented for deep-sea fishing.
A lovely seaside, inside dinning room, or outside if you prefer when the weather suits; with delicious choices of local dishes, seafood, etc.

Unique Quality: Very quiet location, lovely grounds, small town right at your doorstep for walks, shopping, etc.
Also a small, 9-hole 'Executive' golf course, and golf driving range. Additionally, there is a full SPA, including massages; and a very good gift shop all on premises.

TWO pools, incuding an infinity pool.

Opinion of Price: more expensive than average
