The Westin...Westin is the name of the hotel, but there is also part of the hotel that only members of Club Regina can visit unless you get upgraded or they are too crowded and place you there. I stayed in the Club Regina suites. They are amazing. They included two bedrooms with a living room and kitchen connecting the two rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook great meals. (There is a grocery store in the hotel). There is a balcony overlooking the ocean with patio furniture perfect for relaxing in while you have some cocktails. The best part of these suites are the jacuzzi bath tubs that are in each room. Be warned that if you do not pay attention to the water level they eill overflow fast and flood your room, but they are lots of fun. In order to get around the hotel you must call for hte hotel shuttle (they are golf carts but bigger) that take you from your room to the lobby to the pools. It is too far and too hot to make the journey on foot.

I've been here before, and I know what to do, try this: 1) go in mid april. temps are perfect, no spring breakers, no crowds, good prices. 2) enter "rent by owner" condo "san jose del cabo" into google. e-mail all nice condo rentals and offer $100 per nite. I got a 2 bedroom, two bath 1200 sq. ft. condo ground floor, step onto the beach for $110 including all taxes and charges at La Jolla. 5 star. Try $80 for a nice studio in an exclusive place...just offer...it works!! Only works in april. 3) use taxis and busses. offer us currency. a $10 bill for a taxi from airport and back. $5 into town or to the best swimming beach and $5 back. Bus to cabo is about $2 per person each way. We spend about $120 for a week for 3 people. 4) eat great meals for $20/per/day. 5) cheep drinks 6) try the pirate cruise in cabo $30 online. All you can eat and drink and 3 hrs. on a 1890 tall ship cruise to watch the sunset over the pacific...great. San jose is safe and layed back....love it !! We go there alot.
