Very pleasant and colourful B&B. Really friendly owners, Adriana and Denny openned this B&B in summer 2005.
Set around a small patio, about five rooms are set on ground floor and first floor. The Gite del Sol has shared bathroom on each floor, and they are constantly kept very clean.
Small terrace on the roof with views of the town.
For breakfast you can choose from one of the following: toasted bread with butter and jam, eggs and toast, cereals, yoghurt with fruit. With this, coffee, and you can always have a second cup.
The owners will help you organise excursions to Chamula, Sumidieron, Montebello,..
A double cost us 180 pesos including breakfast for two.
Unique Quality: Owners really make you feel at home and take care of everything for you.. here, you really get a personnal attention.

Is that possible? I googled and everywhere it derives zero results when i key in the dates. It seems that flights only connects mexico city and san cristobal....

which you may be right, you cannot go from OAXACA to San Cristobal de las Casas directly via air --- after living in Mexico for many years, I am not surprised.
until just a few yrs ago, almost EVERYTHING, whether a flight, a letter, or a telephone call had to go via MXICO CITY. when we apply for a new telephone number over here on the Baja Peninsula, the request has to go thru Mexico City; they are in process of decentralizing many things, but much still remains as before, when they HAD to HAVE CONTROL (political history).
The buses are good--you probably know that? and this company talks about door-to-door; otherwise, there are public buses which would run that route.

Well, if there is a flight - sounds problematic - it would be to Tuxtla which is an hour away. Why not just take a first class bus from Oaxaca to San Cristobal and see something along the way?

first the caves then cascadas el chiflon now to the lakes.
At 14.57 we arrived at Caseta de Cobra 20 pesos (was included)
we passes lake Tinto no pics.
We get out at 3 lakes Lake Encantado, Esmeralda and Ensueno

The first cathedral on the same place was started in 1528, the same year San Cristobal was founded. The cathedral was completely rebuilt in 1693.
The facade is coloured in bright yellow and red colours. You really can't miss it. The interior is decorated in baroque style.
The cannon of the Sumidero, is an obliged visit if you are in Chiapas, you will be able to see, beautiful vegetation, animals and some caves and figures in the rock, as the famous waterfall of the Christmas' tree.
Toniná is an archaeological zone that few people know but is amazing. BIG and wonderful place near San Cristobal de las Casas.
San Cristobal is a small village with beautiful houses, coffees and bars. Near San Cristobal is San Juan Chamula, famous place for his carnival and his church, which was taken by the Indians chamulas and now they practise there them traditional rites.
Owners really make you feel at home and take care of everything for you.. here, you really get a personnal attention.
