Inexpensive, but a wee bit scary
The facilities were just fine, and very inexpensive at least by Norte standards. The ONLY problem was the location, a few blocks (seemed like much more late at night) off the "main drag" of the town, where the bars and restaurants are found.
Walking home late one night with a female friend there were a few unfriendly folks hanging around commenting on her, which wasn't too bad. But there was a large, very angry dog running around that very nearly attacked us, to the chuckles of it's presumtive owners in the yard as we walked by. I have no idea why the dog stopped from killing us, but it did and we beelined it back to the hotel.
Again, the hotel was just fine, but the location was a bit rough. It's also possible that we went "the wrong way" to the main drag; it's happened with me before. ;)
