Manzanillo offers picture taking moments at every turn. Due to the cliff setting, the beach always looks worth diving into and the humidity makes you you want to lay on the sand with a margartita in hand!

Hello,
My fiance and I are having our honeymoon in Manzanillo and are staying at the Gran Costa Real for 2 weeks in February. We would like some advice/tips/info from anyone who has stayed at this specific hotel. We are actually having another wedding "ceremony" in the fishing village of La Manzanilla, which is 60 minutes from our hotel in Manzanillo.......and are wondering how much it costs to take a 60 minute cab ride? My family wants to rent a car, but I'm not so sure that driving after the cermony at night would be safe.
I have travelled to Mexico numerous times, but have never been to Manzanillo, and have never stayed in an all-inclusive resort...so this will be my first time for both.
Thanks for your help!
Melanie
Hi, congratulations,
I stayed there several years ago when it was called Sierra Manzanillo and I loved it. The hotel staff was amazing and doted on you 24 hours a day. They had a huge buffet dinner with great entertainment every night.
It was a real family place though and Im not sure if you would like the same things. We went in to town and to other resorts to look for any nightlife- didn't find any. I wouldn't recommend a big drive at night.
The rooms were decent, beds uncomfortable, food excellent, great pool and nice beach. We went on a great snorkling tour and enjoyed horseback riding nearby.
I have been to several all-inclusives and they have (or had) the best staff possible.
ALL I CAN TELL YOU FROM VISITING THIS HOTEL IS IT'S ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. WE DID NOT STAY, JUST LAID ON THE BEACH THERE. IT'S RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO LAS HADAS AND SIMILAR IN AMENITIES BUT MUCH CHEAPER.
I MET A COUPLE FROM CANADA WHO WINTER EVERY YEAR IN LA MANZANILLA WHEN I WAS IN BARRA DE NAVIDAD LAST WEEKEND. THEY AND WE WERE ALL TRAVELING BY VERY COMFORTABLE AIR CONDITIONED BUSES. THEY ARE THE STRATOCRUISER TYPE WITH TV'S AT THE SEATS ETC. VERY NICE AND COMFORTABLE AND CHEAP. THE WEDDING PARTY COULD RENT A WHOLE BUS PERHAPS IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE OR ALL TRAVEL TOGETHER IN THE BUS. WHY DON'T YOU ALL STAY THE NIGHT AT LA MANZANILLA OR BARRA DE NAVIDAD AND COME BACK TO THE HOTEL IN MANZANILLO THE NEXT DAY? JUST INTERESTED, WHY DID YOU PICK LA MANZANILLA FOR THE WEDDING? INTERESTING CHOICE. DO VISIT BARRA DE NAVIDAD WHILE YOU'RE IN THE AREA. IT IS SUCH A CUTE LITTLE FISHING VILLAGE. NOT TOURISTY. BEACH FRONT HOTEL WITH BALCONY OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN $60 PER NIGHT! STILL LIKE THE OLD TIME LAID BACK MEXICO WE KNEW AND LOVED.
