I'm Coming Back!

A friend and I wanted to paint in San Miguel, and found Casa Schuck on the Internet. We were a bit worried that the glowing reviews were 'over the top', but upon arriving we both fell in love with the ambience, the gardens, the rooms! Susan & Chuck are totally committed to their guests and Guillermo made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. They were always available when we needed them, and were the best resource for our explorations. The B&B is spotless, and it was GREAT not to have a phone in the room - there was a phone at the desk that was available.
Perfect view, accomodating hosts, enchanting decor - can't wait to return with our husbands!
Casa Schuck personifies colonial Mexico

I can't say enough good things about Casa Schuck. The accomodations were perfect, the staff graciuos and the house and grounds beautiful. Susan and Chuck are very friendly but unilke some B & B owners there but "not in your face" all the time. It is apparent that there is a great deal of care in the ownership and operation of Casa Schuck and for us the wonderful experience of San Miguel is in large part due to Casa Schuck.
What a delight!

We visited Casa Schuck for a few nights in early March. What a delight!
It's like having your own beautiful hacienda. We enjoyed sitting in the garden, tanning around the pool, and watching the amazing sunset on the rooftop. Chuck and Susan are wonderful hosts with great restaurant and sightseeing tips. We enjoyed dining at Azafran and La Parilla, per their recommendations. Casa Schuck is certainly the place to stay while in San Miguel--
A wonderful place to stay!!

Casa Schuck was even more wonderful than our expectations! The house is lovely and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts were some of the best we had in Mexico. Most of all , the owner, Susan Easter, does everything to make you feel welcome and content. By the time we left after only 3 nights we felt like we were good friends! I look forward to returning to Casa Schuck on an annual basis.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Schuck. We were housed outside of the main building and had to walk to the main edifice for breakfast ect. We felt a bit like outsiders, but we were includud in everything. One suggestion-in the future the explanatin of the workings of the city could be better explained to those of us who might not have been part of the main building.
Casa Schuck 'Loved it'

Just return from San Miguel De Allende the town of speed bumps and church bells. Casa Schuck well deserves its top ranking. The rooms and are beautifully decorated, the patios and grounds reflect the rich colors of Spanish colonial architecture. Your host Susan is helpful, charming and responsive. Enjoy days and evenings exploring the neighborhoods, restaurants and artisans of San Miguel de Allende knowing that the warmth of your home away form home awaits you.
Casa Cordelli

We planned to stay at Casa Schuck, but it was booked. We rented a house from Casa Cordelli. This compound is related to Casa Schuck. Along with the house, we got breakfast at Casa Schuck every morning. The house was great and had a great price. It was very private and clean. The only problem was it was outside of town which meant we heard more roosters and barking dogs at night. We had to sleep with our windows closed because of the noise. We were a 10 minute walk from the main square. Going back to the house was the only problem. We had to go up huge hills to get back.Other than that we would definately stay again. The owners were very accomodating and very helpful with information.
Casa Schuck in beautiful San Miguel de Allende

Casa Schuck is a charming place. It took a bit of getting used to because the electrical outlets did not allow me to use my hair dryer- ask for an extension cord . I would ask for extra towels as they were scarce. If you stay here be sure to bring good walking shoes as it is a trek down steep hills (and back up) to town and all the restaurants. The coffee was not ready in the morning at 7:30 as we were told it would be. I would make sure there is a fan as there is no air conditioning. The pool is small, but adequate for our purposes. Not a place for kids. Breakfast was ok, but we went elsewhere most of the time. I thought the price was a little steep for the quality of the accommodations:Atmosphere was wonderful,, and a bit more attention to detail would make it perfect.
San Miguel is GREAT. The local people were fabulous and we would recommend a visit to all our friends. Susan was helpful with providing information and giving us advice. Practice Spanish before the trip. We saw Chuck only once and it would ahve been nice if he had been a bit more visible.
The best place to stay

There are not enough superlative words to describe
Casa Schuck. The place is fabulous. The gardens are glorious, views spectacular, rooms handsomely decorated in old Mexican style. The staff is friendly and gracious and the owners are simply wonderful. What more can one want on a vacation.
We stayed there for 16 days and could have stayed there forever. It was all so comfortable that it was hard to leave and get back to reality again. If you prefer small, intimate surroundings, with liittle formality, this is THE place to stay in San Miguel. We would definitely return to Casa Schuck and
recommend it highly. All other hotels and B & Bs have no appeal when compared to Casa Schuck.
A jewel of a setting

We were overcome by the beauty of this place-it's gardens and exquisitely decorated rooms. Everything was easily accessible. Breakfasts were delicious and well staffed.
