spring break 2007

by cyepes

we are 4 single guys going to acapulco for spring break 2007 and we're staying at las torres. we wanted to know what to expect while we're down there and did we pick a good hotel to party at. is there anyone one out there who's gonna be there for spring break? i can only imagine there's gonna be a lot of partying going on.

Torres Gemelas isn't as much a hotel as it is two buildings where apartment owners rent-out their apartments when not in town. It's not considered a "party" location, though - the party is were you make it. The buildings are, however, located next to Playa Condesa - about as "happening" a beach location as there in in ACA. You'll be within walking distance of beaches, bars, restaurants, and a very short taxi ride away from the hottest discos.

Hey, I am working on a cruise ship and I have overnight there everyweek... Make sure to check out those bars : Mandara (about 20$ cover charge, and open bar), and Paradize.
Just take a taxi, might charge 2 $ per person

Travel Tips for Acapulco

RELAX!!!
I realize many people go to Acapulco for the Discos and the nightlife. I went to sit on the pay, gazing into the Ocean, and relax! I also went because for about one-half the price of what others pay I had a nice room (not fancy), a great view, and wonderful food. I also made great new friends who will take care of you (hotel and restaurant) if you want to go!

Shopping in the Streets

Don't miss the City Market. Blocks sprawling numerous directions filled to brimming with fresh vegetables, fruits, spices, fish, poultry. Try the mangoes, passion fruit, guava, blackberries, pineapple, jicama, and come back tomorrow and sample the Mexican honey packed with its own honeycomb! Every day can be an adventure when you explore the City Market. This is where the locals shop and once you've been here you will know what fresh and alive food smells and tastes like!

You can go to Acapulco by bus, airplane or car. The latter option is the cheapest for more than one person, although the toll roads are expensive (over US$60 one way if I remember right). Their condition is superb and you can leave Mexico City at 07:00PM on a Friday night and be in time in Acapulco to go clubbing most of the night. The bus is convenient if you are travelling alone, but check your return time - some bus stations in Mexico City are not too safe in the middle of the night!

Massages on the Beach!

by toddakiyama

*Mexican girls came by to offer massages on the beach

*The cost was only $5 bucks for about 20 minutes, a great value and quality massage!

*They can even provide hot oil for your massage
