Travel Tips for Acapulco

by Beast

Taxco is about 1/2 way between Acapulco and Mexico City. If you want to go take a reliable tour bus, don't drive. More on that in warnings. This town is very beautiful and filled with beautiful, happy people. Taxco is famous for its silver and silver works. If you like silver products and jewelery bring a little cash a get ready to barter. You will find incredible buys here. The picture is of the center of town with the Cathedral in the middle as is the custom.

Hanging out

by vilip about Main street

Just go to the main street in Central Acapulco, where most of the hotels are. There's you'll find night clubs, good bars, places to stay and watch people walking by and specially good places to eat Mexican cuisine.
Also Acapulco is a cultural city, you may check if there are any Events happening in the time you go: http://www.acabtu.com.mx/acaweb/servinfo.html

*Some of the best ones we ate were little hole in the wall type places

*This one pictured may not see like much but had great Carne Asada Tacos, made with freshly made corn Tortillas

*Cost - about $1 USD or less

do it all, see it all. Do NOT sleep or you'll miss something!
The place is open 24 hours and you can't miss a thing. There is little time for lying on the beach but definitely the time to sleep is during the day.
