Compare the the Low budget Cruse lines in the past
I had the opertunity to take a package in Febuary from Mexico City for 3nights four days.Having been on 12 cruises,this hotel was very simular to the low budget crusises i took in the past.The food was on a scale of one to ten a 4-5.When you arrive, they place a plastic band around your wrist which is your id while you stay, Many time the schedule of the restraunts(2) didnt fit in with our schecdule so we missed many meals.The hotel rooms for around $75 us a night were very sparce and i was very suprised at this.There beach club is ok but the problem is check out is at at 12:00 or 1:00 i dont remember.You can not use there club after you check out even if you bus or plan leaves at 4or 5 in the afternoon as they cut of your band when you leave.I just returned from Acaculpo na dhtis time stayed in a medium price hotel and ate our meals seperate it was much better for us.as we we were right across from the beach where Club Bananas is about a 10 minute walk to the beach.If you cruised with Carnival or any other of the major Cruise Lines ,you will not get that type of service at the Bananas!!!

Best week of my life !!
Club Bananas is a lil' bit of heaven that is WAY more than the small info available.
My G / F & I spent a week there in 2000, & it blew us away. What a great place.
Recreation director had great contests & fun stuff to enjoy. Staff were fabulous.
Gained 15 lbs. in a week from the food. On the weekend it filled with Mexicans taking a break & it was unbelievable the amount of FUN. I could write forever about how much we enjoyed it.
The shuttle bus to the beach was great & the beach was incredible & fun. Banks & shopping and nightclubs only 10 minutes from Hotel. Acapulco is very well known, and had wonders around every corner. Always something to see or do. Great History mixed with New in a wonderous way. Just an all around mind-blower !!
Unique Quality: The rooms were okay, but it is a rather rustic place(in Jan. 2000), with some fix-up required, however, overlooking those little items, it was a terrific time. A fantasy trip I will never forget.
With the hotel being off the main drag, it was very intimate, & friendly. The parties and fiesta nights were like a dream. Just too much fun. Really neat pool / bar / lounging area. Very well designed, and groomed. It is a lovers paradise as far as I am concerned. Staff were terrific to the max. Very strange to be so well taken care of. It was as if they knew what you wanted / needed before you did !! In a word: MAGICAL !!
