I didn't stay here, but all the tourists visit this hotel. It is one of the tourist attractions. It is very big and is built like a pyramid. It is also famous because it has been in a lot of movies and television programs. Very beautifull gardens, swimming pool and a very big white sandy beach.

We visited Enigma disco. Acapulco is full of discos but mostly visited by the 20 something crowd. We heard from a couple of tourist that the Acapulco Princess disco caters to an older crowd. Dress up...
Great time, but watch the rainy season!

We just returned from an excellent trip to Acapulco. The Fairmont Acapulco Princess is a fantastic hotel - the food is great, the service is good, the prices reasonable, and the grounds (pool, beaches, golf, etc) are fantastic. We definitely recommend to others.
The only caveat is to be wary of booking too far into May or June - the weather was great for us but we narrowly missed a week of rain and thunderstorms (rainy season is june-august).
This is the third time I have used this Hotel

This is the third time I have stayed at the Acapulco Princess. I really think that it is the best Hotel in Acapulco. I have never been disappointed with their food or their service. From the time I enter the property until my Wife and I leave, the service is efficient and the workers at the Hotel always smile and are very courtious. The only complaint that I have is that the food, although really very good is on the pricy side. So be warned about this.
The pools are always clean and the ground are manicured and very nice. It is a quiet place so do not expect much night life there. But if you want a place to unwind, this is it. Since the Piere Marquisa Hotel is owned by the same Company you can use their facilities and eat at their Restarants which is very nice. Altogether, The Princess is a great value and deserves a 5 star rating.
Not a 5 star resort----10 stars!!!

My family and i stayed at the acapulco princess about 3 years ago and it was the most gorgeous place you could ever be at. My father went there about 30 years ago and said it was the best place in acapulco, when he returned all those years later it was even better. Absolute gourmet food, even the buffet was to die for! (peeled shrimp, steak, and dessert if you can make it) awesome pools-at least 5.
we were a little worried at first, we've all heard rumors about kidnappings in mexico, but there was not one moment we didn't feel safe. security is very very tight. we felt safer there than in our hotel room in minneapolis.
we had an AWESOME time on the jungle tour---an absolute MUST!!! you're on a boat almost the whole time seeing where the lagoon meets the ocean (its BEAUTIFUL!!) you get off on a tiny little island where an old woman can give you a mud mask (so much fun). then you travel on the water more and stop on another small island to have an authentic mexian meal. this was an experience of a lifetime. if they ever ask you what time it is, the answer is always "CORONA TIME!"
you cannot go wrong by staying at the princess. if you like the best you will not be dissappointed.
Loved it!!

In terms of price, location, appearance, ammenities, and service, the Princess is very difficult to beat. You are about 10 minutes from town, but it's worth it with how busy and loud town can be. Plus, all the clubs, and nicer restaurants are pretty close. The only thing you have to drive a bit longer for is shopping. My husband and I are in our 20s, and found that the crowd there is a bit older...you'd definately see more young folks at the Mayan Resort up the road, but you don't have to be hasseled into buying timeshares like you do at the Mayan Resort. If I ever go back to Acapulco, I will stay at the Princess. It is well worth the money. The rooms are nice, clean, a little older, but well taken care of. Service is solid.
Absolutely terrible!!!!

Stayed there for a week in May. We had problems from the moment we arrived, we had requested an ocean view room on a high floor with a king size bed. First, we were given a room on the 2nd floor, then we were given a room on 19th with 2 very small doubles and finally the next day after much tooing and froing to the front desk, a room with a king size bed with no apologies from the desk - *we had made our hotel reservations 3 months before our stay..
The concierge was very unhelpful, when we asked if she could make some restaurant reservations for us (neither of us speak spanish).
The room was shabby, everything slightly worn from the threadbare towels to the sheets. The maid service was very erratic, somedays the bed got made, some days not.
One of the things we had been looking forward to was playing tennis and taking some lessons after repeated attempts to organise this and going down to the tennis center, no one ever got back to us. During our stay there was constant little irritants and nuisances.
It certainly is not a 5 star resort, we were very disappointed and would not stay there again.
