Nice, clean, and cheap hotel in downtown
After I checked a few dumps close to Zocalo, I ran into this decent looking hotel half way to the hill. Hotel looked deserted, and the host lady showed me a tiny room in the basement with no terrace and with a view at a dirty little pool asking for 120 pesos. I didn't like it at all, and while I was looking at my guide figuring where else to go, she came back and offered me a 3-bed room on the second floor for 100 pesos. There was the problem with the light in that room - and after a few unsuccessful attempts on fixing it - she offered me the room next door - which was fine.
Unique Quality: Room was clean, with bathroom and a terrace. Little weird moment was when whe asked for 40 pesos as a guarantee for the towel. They lock the door overnight so the place looked quite safe. Yeah I liked it there...
